Reviving Old Traditions

Back in the day when my sister was a college student and I still went to school, we had a tradition. We'd sit in front of the TV, usually around prime time, when our favorite show was on, surround ourselves with the best chocolates, cookies, cakes... Really we may be talking gluttony here.
After we'd laugh or cry with our favorite characters, we'd still stay where we were, grab the magazines we had bought for this sole purpose, or grab our notebooks, and browse through illustrated pages or websites with funny pictures and just talk till the dead of night.
Sometimes we'd have our cousins over but usually it was a brother-sister thing.
Now that she is working and moved out and I moved away to Cologne for college, we don't get to spent as much time together unfortunately.

A few days ago I spent a night at her place so that we could revive that tradition, but instead of staying up all night we agreed on postponing it to morning, where we could add coffee to the equation. My classes won't start until mid October and she took a week off, so both of us were stress-free at the same time.
The evening was rather quiet and we just sat around and tried to fight tiredness.
We had definitely wasted too much time in the supermarket before - you guessed it- we went to buy every candy we longed for.
Of course we bought normal products like milk, fruits, bread and vegetables, too, but clearly those didn't belong to our list of priorities.

We kicked off the morning with coffee. We both couldn't sleep in thanks to the very nice people of the construction works down the street.
When we both were confidant that the coffee would keep us functioning we started to deck the table.

As you can see we thought of everything we could have possibly desired at that moment. The coffee sat happily in our hands of course.

We ended up laughing a lot and reminisced in a lot of funny memories.

Until next time, folks!
